Title: Kodiak
Location: Rancho Relaxo
Story: Kodiak was surrendered to Rancho Relaxo when she was a puppy. She was born with an ectopic ureter, meaning one of her ureters did not enter her bladder at the usual location(with this condition the ureter typically attaches further down the urinary tract), causing a constant leakage of urine. Due to her anatomical defect, she required a $3,000 surgery. Although the surgery was a success, Kodiak’s muscles were never able to fully catch up, therefore she continues to leak and needs to be bathed every few days to prevent skin infection. She’s has now become a permanent resident at Rancho Relaxo and a fabulous farm dog!
