aybelle was not particularly excited about my presence in her home and she let me know. Can you blame her, though? I know I don’t like strangers(especially ones carrying suspicious objects) in my home. Every animal is an individual with their own personality and each will have their own level of comfort with your presence. We need to always remember that this is THEIR space, THEIR home and respect their boundaries. Maybelle graciously paused for a moment and allowed me to capture this image of her and I’m so grateful she did. Maybelle was the one who started it all at Sleepy Pig Farm Animal Sanctuary. Tiffany, founder of Sleepy Pig Farm Animal Sanctuary, came across Maybelle when she was just two days old, living in absolute filth amongst her deceased siblings. When Tiffany saw Maybelle she knew she could not leave without her.
